What a game! - 24/02/2002

What a game! It's really a great filling when you score the winning goal for your team, but it is even better when you score the only goal of the game. Imagine how I felt when this goal came during such a game. I had 1-2 good chances before the goal and I was really frustrated to see the ball not ending at the back of the net, bus as the say third time lucky. I think the whole team performed very well, especially in the second half, when we created most of our chances. Sunderland had 2-3 opportunities to score but Given's saves were fantastic.

It has really turned out to be a great season for United and finally our hard work is paying off. We now have two more difficult games coming our way against Arsenal and Liverpool, after which we will have a much easier schedule until the end of the season. However we should treat each of the 11 remaining games as a "final" and try to win all of them. Once more I would like to thank our fans for their constant support.

Hmmm - that's exactly the same text to be found on the back page of today's Chronic (except for the 'filling' bit). An article by our favourite spurts (sic) journo, Alan Oliver! So who's copying who?

Gotta tell ye, I thought we were rather poor yesterday. Robert was significant by his absence, solano had a terrible first half, jenas looked lost in midfield........that was the first half. Second half we were a different team. I thought the smb's were lucky to finish the game with 11 men on the field, mcateer should have been yellow card at leat twice more and their collective goating of bellamy was disgraceful. Still, sunderland are an average team at best and we played poorly and still won and that's what it's all about really. I have noticed our resident makems are quiet today.....what a surprise?? still nationwide football will suit them next year.

Almost certainly Oliver copying Dabs. He is always quoting Robert's website, too.

Oliver used to nick stuff off the old Communicata site, don't know if he has discovered this one.

Tuna and cucumber - now that was a great filling.

If we treat all our games like Finals we'll get bleeding relegated.

My lower 2nd pre-molar was a great filling. The upper 1st molar wasn't so hot.
