Should I have a Knee Replacement ?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : About Joints : One Thread

My left Knee was damaged in a motorcycle accident 3 years ago, I have had both ACL and PCL replacements which were not sucessful and when walking short distances or exercising I still have pain, swelling and am unstable. I now have the choice of leaving it as it is and it will get worse, a Knee Replacement or Knee Fusion. I realize that I will be left with pain in all 3 options, what should I do?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to give you the answers you are looking for via internet. You need to be seen by an orthopedic surgeon for a complete evaluation. This includes a physical exam with current x-rays. Please let us know if I can be of any further assistance
