"HELLO" :o)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Country Style Homesteading : One Thread

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to say that I think Phil has done a great job with this forum so far and I think the website is an awesome idea. Most of you know me already from Countryside. I am neutral in all the mess that has gone on over there. I'm a passive person who chooses to try my best to get along with everyone - no matter what our differences of opinion may be.

Wish I could help folks out more but honestly, I'm here more for the takin' (oops, I mean learnin' LOL). I have learned alot from all the nice folks over at Countryside and I'm sure I'll learn alot from everyone here as well. Just wanted to wish everyone here (and the forum and website) well. I will be checking in often.

Blessings,

I also came here from countryside, I never knew what all the fuss was about over there,the first time I went to Countryside peaple were talking about how there were no plans to ever move the forum. I guess I missed all the fighting. I am very glad that this sight is up and running because it seems that the countryside sight is going to end at the end of the month.

Thanks folks - the "thumbs up" is really nice to hear! I wasn't sure how I would be at this or if I would even like doing this, but I'm at it every day now and love it. The forum isn't much to maintain, but putting the website together is challenging! And dare I say ... FUN! Really, though, it's you folks that make this forum AND the website the great soruce of information it's sure to become!

I look forward to hearing from each and every one of you and give a heartfelt "Thanks a lot!" for all your support!

By the way, maybe I could see a show of hands on how many of you would like to see and contribute to a monthly newsletter? It wouldn't be "Countryside" but it might be nice. Whad do you think?

Newsletter sounds great Phil, if you don't mind a "Country Families" contributor!!!

Hey, Greenthumbelina,

It's good to see your name again. How have you been? Did you move? I've always been impressed with your honesty and willingness to learn from others. So glad you joined us. Hope you'll become a regular. You'll find some good people here.

Wishing you enough.

Thanks everyone! I've learned so much and gained so much respect for the folks on the forums most of us frequent that it's difficult to put into words. I'm honored to be a part of this "family!"

I'm not sure how the letterzine will come to be, but I've been in contact with Ken Donnell (the fellow that mentioned the newsletter in the first place) to discuss it ... we'll have to see what happens. Melissa, I look forward to your contributions (how about an article for the website - your's would be the first :8)?) and anyone else who would like to contribute.
