Ramblins from the old hillbilly. [Christian Material]

While outside and about Friday, I happened to ride past the mail box on the old Troy Bilt mower. I was haulin some stuff to the gully to throw in it to stop the washin. Anyhow-those weeds in the roadditch from last summer were still there and were dry. I had my little propane torch on the mower with me so just leaned over and "torched" those weeds. Talk about a hot fire--and quick! I promply went across the driveway and started some more. They quickly burned out and all was well. In the process of burnin those two small areas--the kildeers were really raisin thunder. I first thought I'd burned their nests but later figgered out that they had built'm down further where it was smooth mowed.

Mr Mole is still alive and well. Apparently ole Calvin didn't catch the one makin all those little tunnels! Don't know if'n I orta shoot ole Calvin or Mr Mole!!

Another beautiful day here today--lots of sunshine and the temps are warmin up quite nicely. Probably go out lookin around this afternoon with Lil Dumplin. Oh BTW-we're now a couple with "his'n hers" metal detectors! Mite have to go have a "look see" in that cemetary over by Clay City [where the monkey is burried---check CS archives for the story] and maybe ole Jesse James' gold will jump up at us!

After emailin Chuck--and gettin his "ok" to post on CS forum again--I made my first post there yesterday. Lots of fine folks are still there--new as well as old friends. I did label my post as always and found one who opposed it. Apparently he/she/it couldn't read the warning label---or just wanted to cause trouble. Anyhow-as Almighty God leads me--I'll post there again--thanks to Chuck! I am so thankful to Melissa, LBF and Doreen for letting me post on these fine sites!

We are livin in the best of times these days--in respect to the "Harvest" of lost souls! Truely the fields are white with harvest but the workers are so few. Why not tell somebody about Jesus Christ and His Saving GRace? It's a requirment of salvation, ya'll know!! "If you don't confess me before man I'll not confess you before the FAther which is in heaven"! Lord, I'm tellin all who will listen!! old hoot gibson. Matt.24:44

Shout it from the hilltops, to the rppf tops that Our Lord is King.

Hey Hoot!

It's warming up here too. Hard to dress right in this weather for a nice long walk in the woods. I wore a tee shirt, a long sleeved shirt and a thin sweatshirt. That and jeans, hiking boots and a ball cap that is.

Seems like it wil hit 55 degrees today. (Weather says 52 with tomorrow and Tuesday at 60, and Wednesday at 34 for a high.)

What a strange winter.

Hello Hoot,

I can't remember where I read how to get rid of Mr. Mole, but it went like this.

Juicy fruit gum. Take a stick and cut it long ways. Unwrap it, and just use one half of a stick at a time. Poke a screwdriver or pocket knife into the mole run, and then put the gum in longways. It seems that he has a sweet tooth, and is greedy so he will eat the entire half stick when he finds it. Now he does not have the capability to pass the gum, and he will himself pass away shortly. Just might be easier n' snuffin ol' calvin.
