How do you put the photo into the body of the message rather than the link itself?

How do you put in the photo into the body of the message and display it directly without having to refer the reader to click on the link? I think the way that Mike Dixon does it is rather cool.

You post the photo and add a html tag to it. A decent site for learning the html basics is http://www.w3schools.com/default.asp or should I say http://www.w3schools.

Check out Tony's Tutorial

I also have an instruction page on my site with screen captures, if that helps.

For better or worst, this is the way I do it. First of all, I post to photo.net. Secondly, I have this copied on to notepad text that stay's on my desktop.

I then right click on the image I posted, and click on "Properties." This gives me my URL and the WIDTH & HEIGHT of the image. I erase everything between the quotation marks so it looks like this

From the image Properties, I select and copy & paste (between the quotation marks) the URL, and the WIDTH, and the HEIGHT. Once that is done, then I hightlight the whole HMTL tag and paste it in. So far, this is the only thing that's worked for me.

WIDTH and HEIGHT are completely unneccessary. In fact, they become a problem if you later replace the image with the same one at a slightly different image size.

What you should do is View->Source and then see how people do it. It's quite easy.

It's essential to know where the image itself is stored. Test the image link in another window before you post. Then you won't have one of those "Image Not Found" markers.

Whew! Learn something new everyday! That is Jonas taken with a Leica IIIf, 50mm Summar, CN400, and filtered through Photoshop 6 for that digital Noctilux dof bokeh. Ten minute rush job with the manual next to me!
