Shame on you Screach...

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

...just waded through that ultra tedious thread below. Dull, dull, dull. But howay man Screach, how can you say this is just another game? We've just got to beat these jumped up wannabes. SK. Herts and ML's 2,3,4 and 5 all may come on here preaching peace, love and understanding but there isn't a mackem on earth who doesn't want to stuff their neighbour on Sunday,

The feeling is mutual. Bring 'em on. Stuff the mackem b*****ds. Howay the lads.

(I've had a bit of an exended lunch today).

Exactly right marra. if you can't enjoy your derby game, i can't see why you bother being a football supporter. Don't think you need to enjoy a bit of gratuitous internet abuse like i do at these sort of times but, hey man, it's the mags v god's chosen. it is important whatever you want to pretend. Twice in recent years I've looked over the police line into the eyes of the losers and could see it. Same as I'll feel on sunda if you beat us.

The derby game is massive but for completely different reasons than the Arsenal game is (for instance).

The Arsenal game is important as it could affect our season in a big way, but the derby game is a local event.

I would be bloody well chuffed if we beat Sunderland as I am sure any Mackem would be if they beat us.

My best mate is the latest employee of my company in Barcelona. He's also a mackem.

In the event of the unthinkable on Sunday, I've promised not to sack him.

Maybe just dock his wages or something...:)

You could hide his wages.

A mackem with wages? Now there's a novel idea

Well, I thought that might stir a few of you into action!! Make no mistake, I wanna stuff those barstewards on Sunday and I'll be there, singing me heart (Hert??) oot fer the lads. Just like I was less than 2 weeks ago when we stuffed their 2nd raters.

But as Paul says, the way the PL is panning out this season, and with the fixtures as they are, I'd rather we beat the Mickeys and @rse's Whingers. Yes, call me a traitor if you like, but in the overall scheme of things, that's the way I feel.

Now, before you get me wrong, I'm not a closet Gullit follower. This game is massive. As has been said on here many times before, there is a strong commonality between Geordies and Mackems - far more than WHam fans and Chewsee. IMHO, there is no bigger local derby in England than Toon vs Mackems (I might consider Glasgae as an equal). But come the end of the season, if we beat @arse and Micket by a clear point, having won next weekend and on the following Wednesday, and/or win the FAC, then I can allow the poor Mackems a bit of leeway. After all, think how tedious next season would be if they got relegated. No 6 points to look forward to, eh??

As for you DSS, glad you enjoyed your extended lunch. I'm about to hit the Plough (if I can get thru the snow) to bait the odd Makcem (well, they're all odd really - I dunno why I even pojnted that bit out!). I might be a while ;-))
