TO aid your pictures in loading quickly and still have a good picture, try using a 150 dpi picture, as that is the max resolution for most monitors, ie. using a higher dpi picture will not increase the quality of the picture looks, unless one wants to enlarge it, or that is what I have be told.

Maybe someone with more info. can comment here.

I usually post mine at 72 dpi. That's plenty for on-screen viewing.
