You want to try and get hold of Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, quite possibly the best game I have ever played on a PC - with CM being the obvious exception ;)

Great online too when you get a bunch of Germans playing suitably fitting roles in the game.

I've been messing around with the medal of honour demo for a couple of nights...it is quite cool! :))

Having some problems with my new PC that i've just built though...when playing medal of honour the keyboard controls stick and the character just starts wandering off on his own....i'm blaming xp rather than my pc building skills :))

Give me a Commodore 64 and Paradroid or Uridium and we'll see who's the daddy ;-)

-- Anonymous, February 27, 2002

Actually, I still have my C64 and games (including the joystick destroying Daley Thompson's Decathlon and fab Ghostbusters)...quality.

Played Warcraft 2 to death. My fave games on C64 - Paradroid and Uridium (also Impossible Mission)!

I downloaded a C64 simulator and just about every C64 game there ever was (Including the above 3). Didn't cost a penny and it's perfect on the PC (and a lot quicker to load).

Yeah but a little too quick to be realistic? i've played a load of the spectrum emulators games and they're impossible....try doing horace goes ski-ing at 5000 miles a second! ;))

Pilgrim - can you fwd me the link where you got the simulator? My joystick's are pretty much buggered after 14 yrs of use / abuse. Still, you miss out on the loading screens - Paradroid's a classic!

Other quality C64 games: Desert Fox, Impossible Mission (stay a while, stay forever!), Beach Head (ground breaking), 4th and Inches (American Football game) and the original Football Manager (Ian Rush was class).

I lover football manger (1 and 2) on the Spectrum. Simple and fun but realistic by standards at the time. the second one was good cos you got to see stick ment knocking the ball about for effect as if watching the game. Always enjoyed Manic Miner.
