I've not used the lens, but let's see....Canon's only current 600mm EOS lens costs around $8000, and it is a prime lens. Canon's only lens in the 1000mm region is the 1200mm F5.6L, which costs around $80000.

So, a zoom lens in this range, with a teleconverter, for $325? Let's think about what the results might be like...

And then I'll go back to making enlargements from my 300mm F4L IS + 1.4X TC. The results from the lens you're suggesting are not going to be good, even in the most favourable conditions imaginable.
