Looming suspensions?

Shearer, Speed, O'Brien and Acuna must all stay clear of a booking at Sunderland if they are to avoid a one-game ban.

The quartet are all walking a disciplinary tightrope on four bookings. However, but if they avoid a caution at the SoL then their records will be wiped clean for the crucial end-of-season run-in.

But Shearer was booked against Man City, so doesn't that mean he has to go another 5 matches without a booking?

Soccerbase has O'Brien on three yellows, Acuna on 4, Speed on 4. Don't think Any O'Brien is even close to the tight rope.

The amazing thing is that Bellamy hasn't been booked for mouthing it since Arsenal

Anybody know what Shearer was booked for against Man City?

Wearing a black and white shirt and playing football? ;-)

Seriously, can't remember exactly. I think it was a late tackle?

I saw my Nana's Ronnie, disgraceful journalism, the front page had the headline

"United Stars Facing Ban" with a picture of the players on 4 yellows.

Also their "story" about Acuna is merely Gibson saying he should start ahead of McClen. He is right, but there is no factual evidence whatsoever, it's basically an opinion.

If any of these players are suspended as a result of Sunday's game, they would not miss any of the three following games against Ares, 'Pool or Arse Cup. So that's reassuring! They would miss the home game against Ipswich.
