Article on TribalFootball:

"Javier Clemente took his first training session as Tenerife coach yesterday.

The former Spain manager took the squad for an hour, where observers noted he was concentrating more on defence than attack - a complete turnaround from the tactics of sacked coach Pepe Mel.

Clemente oversaw a scratch match, which was also watched by an enthusiastic group of around 200 supporters. Newcastle's on-loan midfielder Christian Bassedas stood out in the game and managed the only goal - much to the delight of cheering on-lookers".

Delighted for the lad.

Hopee he comes back brimming with confidence and a renewed enthusiasm to prove himself for Newcastle. Of all the recent South American signings I still think he can make it given a chance.

I don't think he can make it here sadly, but god luck to him, he's a true pro and deserves a bit of success.
