What are you doing today??

just wondered what everyone is up to? I am going to teach pre-school, then I am going to the library in Barnesville for an hour or so. Might stop at Dollar General and pick up a few things. Girls have piano lessons tonight, and that is about it.

Work on those TAXES again. I'll also be spending time in the sugar house, cooking and canning and working on an article due for a paper next month, and I have a couple of business appointments this afternoon. Have already hung up a load of clothes (inside because it's raining and cold here today) We'll have soup one meal today because it's a soup-sort of day. At least soon the taxes, right or wrong, will be over.

Today I work with an after school group at our church. It's a once a week thing and I'm in charge with 2 people that help me. We do a time of games as the kids come in from school, then a snack, we break up into 3 groups then for a Bible seach and answer time and then come together and I present the Bible lesson for the day. So this is the morning I get that all ready and finalized. I have some papers to run off and go over the lesson one more time. Other than that I get the laundry done and hung on a rack, take a walk, get supper ready before I go to J.A.M. (Jesus and Me) that's the name of the after school group. Today it's a soup I put together from left over roast chicken, and frozen noodles. Have a great day everyone.

After I'm done wasting time here (just kidding!), I'm playing catch- up cleaning since I ran errands and favors all days yesterday. After lunch, Lance should be done with his errands for today, and he wants to go look at new vehicles for him - he wants a used one that's heavier duty than the 1/2 ton he has now. So it looks like I am pickup shopping today!

Day is filled with office work, Tonight is filled with church work. Have a van full of kids to pick up and drop off tonight. Our Caravan childrens program is very large. We had over 100 kids last weeks. Not bad for a small church in a small town with only 700 kids in the elementary school. 1/7 of all the kids attend our program. If we can get a few more adults to help with the program were trying for 1/3 of all kids.

Cleaning out the freezers mostly. Maybe start re-stocking the home canned food shelves.

Finished washing all floors. Making bananna bread, loaves of whole wheat bread as I type. Washing clothes. Of course, feeding and caring for animals. Catching up on to do list. Continue to get organized (getting some storage boxes for this). Trying to do a 15 minute clean up of the bedrooms today (kids put away what I find)-- believe me that doesn't actually clean their rooms--just keeps it manageable.

It is warmer here today--hubby is going to start scraping the old paint on the guest house next door----so we can paint it--- I'm headed to the warehouse to sort & pack antiques & collectables all day--- I'll put something in the crockpot before I go down to the warehosue to work /so when I get home this evening----we will have something to eat with out me haveing to fix it then!!

We are doing everything for our properties to look good & getting things ready so WHEN all our properties do sell we will be more reeady to move-----

When it warmes more & I have more done at the warehouse & everything starts grening up---& all my flowers start comming up----etc/etc/etc/- -it will all look better---right now eveything looks soo bleek--& brown!! ha! I'll start doing more advertiseing of our properties for sale----

Again a reminder----that if you know anyone who is interested in property -in rural/ I mean RURAL-VERY-SMALL TOWN-Kansas we have an 11,000 sq ft warehouse(across from an 1800's stone mill) / a home / guest house / barn & orchards/ PLUS--priced very reasonably!!!!

Well I'm off to the warehouse to sort & pack----lots of "goodies" going to charities & Goodwill also!! Hubby takes a pick up load to Goodwill several times a week as he goes to work----it is clearing out & cleaning up---after buying out households & collections for many years---we certainly have the stuff!! ha! But I can't keep it all --nor do I want to try to move it all-so it is sort now & pack-- most of the best will be moved for another antique shop---- later---

Got up about 6, and a beautiful sunrise across the field, I went out and filled the bird feeders, I am getting all the birds heading back north. Then fed all the barn cats. 25 of them, all spaded, when they come all sick,I nurse them back to health. They sit perched on the hay bales waiting for me. Tom and I will be putting the plastic around the strawberry plants today, So berries won"t rot on ground. Take it off after it gets to hot. Also will be planting English peas today, two long rows, And I need to work in flower beds, I have a huge front yard, full of flowers, and paths,It mostly a shade garden, lots of trees, and dogwood, The cars slow down, to look. Just a tiny paved road out front. I quess I will have ham for supper, with sweet potatoes, and a salad. And then read my book,[Ice bound] by Dr Jerri Nielsen, She was the dr. down in antarctic who got breast cancer.A very good book, And then to bed.

Hello Melissa,

Its a great day, here in the Ozarks.....to plant trees! And that is exactly what I am going to do! By this evening there will be seventy-five more trees planted to love and admire!

Sincerely, Ernest

Went to yoga, back home, started a fire in the office, need to bake bread and cookies. Get tax stuff together, work on novel edits (or short story). Make dinner. Tonight, two friends of mine and I will be singing here--we're practicing; we've been asked to sing at a hospice service.

My 2 yr old son and I planted another square in my "Square foot garden" this morning while my wife took our 2 wk old daughter for her first well baby DR visit. Its 74 and sunny her in North Central Texas and it's days like this that I can't help but thank God for his mightyness. I took care of the chickens and then we all went to lunch at the local cafe. Now I'm reading this forum and CS next. After this I'll take a nap as I will be going to work tonight at 9pm. Duty calls.

P.S. Just found this site and glad I did. Melissa you sound like a learned and Godly woman. Everytime I would answer a question or ask one that had anything to do with Christianity on CS I'd get deleted. I love the CS forum it's contributors and the wealth of information there. I'll be in prayer for Chuck as he takes on the administrator duties there.

I slept late this morning, still recovering from a bad cold. Went to the office and tried to work. Had an apple for lunch. Went home early, took a nap. We had a Bible study at the house here tonight based on those moments that mark us forever. My take-off introduction was on time symmetry (see my other post). Ready to call it quits tonight. The old bod is still complaining.

I taught Kindergarden. Since my back is better, I'm now able to work a couple of days a week subbing, so I did two days last week-4th and 5th and had two days kindergarten this week. Came home, made supper- speghetti, did laundry, dishes, cleaned out daughters dresser-we will donate her outgrown clothes to the Family Resourse Center-I'm trying to get kids rooms cleaned out this week. Helped my son with his homework, will probably just coast the rest of the evening-some reading, probably.
