cant find where this quote came from.

I have a quote by Poe, but i need more information on where it came from... "Those who dream by day are cognizant of things that escape those who dream by night" Please give me any information youcan find on this quote..and please tell me what poem, tale, or document it came from. books and websites would be very helpful. Any direct information would be appreciated. thank you.

The quote in question comes from the first paragraph of the tale "Eleonora", first printed in 1841 in The Gift for 1842. The tale can be found on-line at the Edgar Allan Poe Society of Baltimore web site at http://www.eapoe.org/works/tales/elnorac.htm

I seem to recall he once used this or, at least, a paraphrase of it in his personal correspondence but I could very well be mistaken.
