Today, February 18, we members of the Catholic Church family honor, in a special way, the following friends of God -- saints whose souls are now in heaven:

Bl. Agnes De (Vietnamese, virgin, martyred [died in prison] in 1841)
Bl. Andrew Nam-Thung (Vietnamese, village mayor, catechist, exiled, d. 1855)
St. Angilbert of Centula (French, son-in-law of Charlemagne, Benedictine abbot, d. 814)
St. Charalampias and five companions (from Asia Minor [Turkish] ... priest, two soldiers, three women ... martyred in 203)
St. Colman of Lindisfarne (Irish, bishop, d. 676)
Sts. Constance, Attica, and Artemia (virgins, martyred in 354)
St. Flavian of Constantinople (from Asia Minor [Turkish], patriarch [archbishop], d. 449)
St. Helladius of Toledo (Spanish, court minister, abbot, archbishop, d. 632)
Bl. John Peter [Jean-Pierre Néel] and Bl. Martin (French and Chinese, missionary priest and catechist in China, martyred by beheading in 1862)
Bl. John Pibush (English, priest, martyred [hanged] by Elizabethans in 1601)
Sts. Leo and Paregorius (from Asia Minor [Turkish], martyred c. 260)
Sts. Lucius, Silvanus, Tutilus, Classicus, Secundinus, Fructuosus, and Maximus (African, early martyrs)
St. Simeon of Jerusalem (Israelite, possibly a kinsman of Jesus, bishop, tortured and martyred by crucifixion c. 107)
St. Theotonius of Coimbra (Spanish, parish priest, Augustinian abbot in Portugal, d. 1166)
Bl. William Harrington (English, priest, martyred [drawn, hanged, quartered] by Elizabethans in 1594)
