Plucky Nationwide sides

I really didn't enjoy the 606 phone in after the games last night. I nearly always get the train home so this is the first time I've heard it for a couple of years.

Alan green, and callers kept going on about how well the Narionwide sides had done, and how well they acquited themselves etc. Nobody phoned in and asked how many of the lower ranked sides had actually got through to the next round.

Crewe were the only side to get a draw all the others lost, including Cheltenham at West Brom.

Now they may have played well but I'm sure City would have prefered to have played slightly less well and one or two of those shots to have actually gone in.

Finishing class seems to me to be the main difference between the divisions, in fact the general standard of defending may actually be better in Div 1. This leads naturally to a plethora of fairly even games that are eventually usually won by the PL teams.

And before someone feels the need to tell me, I do realise that Spurs beat Tranmere 4-0 - hey, sh*t happens!
