Being entirely selfish, it is excellent for some. Anyone who travels back South after a game will tell you that Sundays are murder. No matter if you leace N'cle 4pm or 9pm it's solid all the way towards London. At least on Saturday night the roads are clear and you can get home quickly. For me, a Sunday match adds over 2 hours onto my 250 mile homeward journey. I'm chuffed to bits it's on Saturday night.

Yup me too marra....it doesn't get much better than that time for me...

It's the 5.35pm I object to, not the Saturday. A group of us had arranged a meal for that evening, looks like I'll have to miss out.

I'd have preferred Sunday 4pm just 'cause I could have gotten it at home on ppv. But this is the next best thing as it means not having to get up before dawn to get to the pub, and still early enough that I've got a good bit of the day left afterwards to get lost in DC yet again do whatever errands need doing. Bring it on!!! :-)

Miss out out which Steph - the game or the meal? :)

I'm over the moon!!! I'll be between Portugal (returning Friday 8th) and US (gotta be there Monday 11th). I think I might just be able to squeeze this one in ;-)))

Look on the bright side Steph - if you don't go, some poor deserving soul can have your seat. If you do go to the game, just think of all the calories you'll not put on.

Nick, do you need to ask?!

-- Anonymous, February 18, 2002

Screach, problem is I make up the calories with alcohol!

I am also going to have to postpone a well organised dinner for that evening, strange that I feel aggrieved at not having a Sunday kick off

When will the tix gan on sale?

Dilemma. So far,I'm travelling from London for the Arse game on the 2nd. Always assuming the missus gives me a pass for the following weekend (unlikely) I could go up on the 9th, very early, returning on the 10th, also very early. Now, if I can only get away for one of the two, which one do I go for? And if I get a pass for both, anyone want to share a lift, with a Saturday night stopover? Answers please on the back of a postcard. And if it is only one of the two, who wants the other ticket?

I wanted 1.00 Sunday. It's me mates birthday that wekend and we had already planned about three month ago to head across to Carlisle for to watch the match and get drunk. No chance now.

You could always try water, Steph ;-)

We must look after the TV people who are so important to our game. This is happening on a Saturday night - perhaps there should be a 2 hour break at half time so they could show a movie or something - keep the whole family happy. :-)
