Can use of the rubber lens hood cause major vignetting in an indoors picture?greenspun.com : LUSENET : Leica Photography : One Thread |
I was taking some shots as the church photographer of fellow members and found out that when I shot the indoor, low-light pictures without a flash I was getting vignetting in the final pictures. Can this occur because of the lens hood being used indoors or because of the problematic/natural performance of the M-Rokkor 40mm being shot at f2? Thanks a lot!

It sounds more like you were underexposing which accentuates the natural vignetting of a wide open lens

Do you use the original hood? If you are using a generic hood this might be the problem (then the vignetting will be worse as you close the apperture down)
