Problems with Nero VCD Encoder : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

Every time I try to make a VCD with an .avi Nero tells me that the disk is full after the encoding process is done! Knowing that the file it encoded was only 213MB before and 385MB after encoding the disk is empty but it will not burn the encoded copy. Any help would be great!

you need to convert the file to vcd comliant mpeg. then use nero to burn the disc not use nero to encode.

you need to use an mpeg encoder first. Try xingmpeg encoder. otherwise nero will burn he disk even though it has errors, meaning it wont play in your dvd, etc..

I'm haveing the same problem:you have to find a vcd codec so that nero will read it as the same file size. I know it's a pain in the ass!

I first had this trouble, but I still use the encoder that is with nero. I just Encoded it and burned it as an Iso or Nrg and then burned it. My files where Avi files about 230mb+, never had a problem with size, just my computer can't handle going from a straight encode to the buring process, taking in in steps helps.

With nero vcd encoder you need meg1 and meg2 plug in to encode the movies however there are quite a few free program for you to try it out like TMPGEnc and Mainconcept ender that deliver good quality video...Good Luck
