Mr. Twain, You know I have read that before but did not realize you were the author. Good advice for anyone even if they are not fortunate to be single(read Jay's comment). karen

Joke or no joke, it's still good words to live by.

Yea but it is soooo hard to keep getting up time and time again. But it is my nature to love as hard and fast as if I've never been hurt. I guess that just makes me that much more susceptible to the hurt.

What's that other one, it should be tagged onto this one;

It is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all

Then again Ignorance id BLISS!!!!

I don't REALLY think he was joking on this one. He just was such a funny man, that sometimes you didn't know if he was serious or not. I have always LOVED Mark Twain. In fact, I went down the Ole Muddy several times (at least 3 that I can remember) with Huck and Jim. That is until my English teacher picked apart each chapter to learn us the meaning.

Don'tcha hate it when they ruin a perfectly good story by telling you what it REALLY meant. Yeah, right - like THEY talked it over with Mr. Clemens. Mutter, grumble - HATED lit class!!
