Yesterday, I attempted to install the 1.2 version of the GistIt server. I was not able to get the LDAP portion of the install to complete successfully. Each time I got to the LDAP portion of the install, I would enter the correct values for the Navy White pages and enter a valid first and last name of an individual within the LDAP directory, but the install was never able to establish a successfuly connection. I was able to verify these LDAP settings using Outlook and configuring it to use LDAP.

To get the product installed, I eventually skipped the LDAP portion. The rest of the install went successfully. Once the install was complete, I was able to update a client.

I need assistance on troubleshooting this problem from SRA.

ldap://dir.navy.mil:389/ou=DoD,o=U.S. Government,c=US was used at the LDAP url and all works well.

I reinstalled the GistIt server this morning and this time I configured LDAP against our internal Exchange servers. I used ptmsg1.hq.navy.mil:389. The install procedure picked up fields from the database. Install completed and I stopped and restarted the GistIt service.
