It would appear to be vital to set up multiple Ceetak databases and sets of web pages on each of our PCs in order to allow :

1.Use a working, reference Smartpart system that mirrors the current production version

2.Independent development of various changes

Answers

1) We should add a database which is a read-only copy of the existing database (perhaps we could add read-only stored procs to this but no more). We can switch the test system to use this database by altering the name of the ODBC connection that links this database to 'CEETAK' (the name of the DSN that is hard-coded in all the SmartPart asp pages).

2) sets of web pages - we can have multiple directory trees (at the 'ceetak frames' level) set up as different virtual directories in PWS. Obviously there will come a point when a particular set of asp's will not work with some databases.
