i think the hardest zelda game was zelda 1. ocarina of time was easy!

Gonna have to go with Zelda 2...mainly cuz its so fuggin jacked. Sidescrolling Zelda...its like the question with the new fps metroid...what was nintendo thinking?

Personally I thought they were all easy. But that could just be because i've been playin zelda since i was 5 years of age. but if i had to choose one i'd say that Zelda for regular NES was the best/hardest

Oh yeah I remember those good ol' bgmusics that would grind to a halt when you were changing screens to an area with tons of sprites.

Heh, one thing I remember that took ME forever was the Lost woods in Zelda 1. those REALLY WERE the "lost woods"!

i played that game so much that i had the damn lost woods memorized. how did it go? 3 up 1 left 1 right 2up 2right...and somthing else that i don't remember

it was left, down, left, up, left...I thought those damned knights you could only hit from the side or back were rediculous...especially the ones on the second quest.

that was the quickes but i had it mapped out so i wouldn't run into many of those damn knights. those go on your nerves i usually just went around them though.

I'd say Zelda 2 for the NES. Yeah, the side view was strange. But defeating the shadow Link was a joke. Just stand there and chop, chop, chop.

i used to play zelda 1 for hours on end and get lost every time. that game was so damn hard. as for zelda 2 it was so easy, as a matter of fact kind of like the new one The Wind Waker. the game is so short, who thought of making it.
