Informed that this is a wee island in the Indian Ocean and birthplace of Laurent Robert and the exciting Didier Agathe of Celtic, well a nondescript little forward from there made his debut for Motherwell on Saturday scoring a hat trick of excellent goals. His name is David Feres and he is a cousin of the our own Lolo.

Prior to premiership I watched the Scottish Monday night discussion hosted by Jim Delahunt and featuring each week the one football journo that I really admire, Graham Speirs from the Herald, last week the elder statesman of football journalism was in the opposite chair,Bob Crampsey, decent auld guy. After much discussion about the future or non future of Scottish Football, the question of the minutes silence was raised, as discussed in another thread on here. Graham remarked that he must have observed over 6 silences in the past 2 years , not all football related. Auld Bob Campsey then took up the reins, very Robsonesque by stating, "Yes I agree, look at Jimmy Hill, player, manager, director, owner, responsible for abolition of minimum wage etc etc", The look on Spiers and Delahunts faces were magic, a sort of `jeez have we missed somefink her, Jimmy Hill dead, the host shuffling his notes, it then became obvious that Bob was citing JH as an example of who/what we should be holding a minutes silence for. The moment was priceless and continued as a running gag thro the show, For the info again for our expats I stayed up to watch the Premiership on Monday, has anyone else mentioned this on other threads but Wozza was the studio guest of Gabby and Ally. Center Parting came down the stairs, locks immaculate , black gansy, black troosers, the only thing missing , he was not carrying a box of Black Magic, Nice things to say about the Toon, the players (great bunch), the fans, YBR, the usual, when asked if Shearer would consider England he replied, no way. Sounded out a rallying call for Derby too. The Toon did received plenty of attention, the Toon fan on the panel (Chris) was the subject of the camera at last weeks game, views of SJP from different locations, him standing at the corner flag at the Gallowgate where his mother`s ashes are spread . his tip for the title Arsenal, plenty of exposure at last.

Buff, I thought Wozza was wonderful. Laughed when he said he hoped our bad spell would start on May 20..
