How the Rodinal should be diluted ?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : B&W Photo - Film & Processing : One Thread

I have only a 300 ml tank for hand processing of B$W films. Based on some recommendations I would like to use PanF Plus (35 format) in Rodinal 1:100. Could you tell me how much stock Rodinal should I use (in ml) to fit my requirements and also what would be the right ISO rating and processing time & agitation method ? Maybe I have to use a larger tank to make at least 5 ml of developer diluted or end up with 1:50 (since Agfa as I gather set some minimum of stock Rodinal for one film)

Thank you.

Try Rodinal 1:100 for 15-20 minutes (20C) at EI 32 - 40 for a start. Use at least 4.5ml of Rodinal per solution.

Just put 3 ml of rodinal in 300 ml of water. Discard any excess. I rate Pan F+ at 50 and develop it for 12 minutes at 68 degrees in Rodinal (1:100).

The information in the following link might be very helpful.

I had the same question some time back & went to Agfa tech guys & asked. They say 10ml of rodinal syrup per 8x10 film unit or equivalent no matter the dilution. I know a number of people say you can use less & they do so successfully. Agfa may be overly cautious but no one has problems when using more than the minimum needed, just when they try skimping on the threshold amount.
