DH121AT

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Wiring for DCC : One Thread

I installed a digitrax DH121at in an athearn sd40-2 and the loco runs fine. I have the headlights installed on the white wire and ditch lights on the yellow. The bulbs are 1.5v 40ma and with 270ohm resistors. the bulbs are not burned out but I can not turn them on. I tested the leads and im not getting power to the yellow wire or the white, but i am to the blue. How can I fix this

Ian,

not sure how you are measuring for "power". However, the blue wire provides approx +12 volts and the white and yellow wires are at "ground" potential when the function associated is on. When the function is not on the white and yellow wires are effectively unconnected. This sounds more like a CV programming problem than hardware.

I have CV 49 set to 00 and 50 to 00 and 61 to 01. Is there anything else i need to fix?

CVs are as follows- 1 = 3 2 = 0 3 = 0 4 = 0 29 = 06 49 = 0 50 = 0 61 = 0
