He is adorable! I love Bassets! How old is Mr. Thunderpaws?

Susan, Nice Basset, did you watch the AKC big show on TV? I watch it whenever possible even though I know those dogs are the best of the show dogs. Sure is fun to see what a perfect Corgi or Dobie look like. I have 3 dogs, Sugar, the Jack Russell/Toy Fox Terrier, Badger, the Jack Russell/Welsh Corgi, and The BIG DOG, Hannibal, Anatolian Shepherd/Mysterious Stanger. Sugar is the truck dog, house dog, best buddy. Badger is the not to bright, pee/poop on the floor, the couch,my bed, sleeps on the back porch dog. Hannibal is the watch the place, BIG BARK, gold and black brindle, Anatolian rescue dog. He weighed 90 lbs when I got him in November and weighs more now. He is very smart as well as very beautiful. Badger is a rescue dog too. His mom a reg. Pembrooke Welsh Corgi, his dad a reg Jack Russell and no one wanted him. He was dragged out from under the house and put in a box all alone til he was brought to me. I love him and figure he will grow up someday(born in Sept, 2001), I got him in October, itty bitty thing with huge ears and Roy Rogers eyes. I always wanted a dog for Christmas as a child, wrote Santa every year asking for one and always got a doll!! Now I can have all the dogs I want! LOL

This pic is of another dog, but looks exactly like my Barney Thunderpaws. His age is unknown as he was abandoned at a shelter by his original family. He was fostered by the Michigan Basset Rescue people and adopted by me. He is "older" as he is starting to get gray. I have had him for a year and a half. When I got him his teeth were badly crusted with plac. Bones and chews took care of that. His favorite activity is ear cleaning. It took me 2 weeks to house train him. We think he was kept in a basement or garage as he prefered to do his duty on cement. He didn't know what to think of carpet. Anyway, he had enough of the really bad scary dog eating carpet cleaner so he decided going in the house was not worth risking the encounters with the machine. He hums...never heard a dog hum before. This is worse that asking someone about their Grandkids. Sorry. I'll stop.

Sigh....probably the same thing Barney wants - "You want the rest of that pork chop, Hon?" He is getting a little grey, loves ear rubs, is housebroken and wouldn't touch the vacume on a bet....

You know, I read one time about witches being able to turn themselves into cats and.....
