90mm Tele-Elmarit-M hood & filter holder

I have a 90mm Tele-Elmarit-M (the thin version). Presently, it has the regular 11250 rubber hood on it which double itself as the filter holder for series 5,5 filter normally used with this lens. I just bought a 12575 metal hood to replace the rubber one. My question is how can I still use 5,5 filters with this hood on my Tele-Elmarit lens? They need a filter holder on each side. If not, the glass part of the filter would rest directly on the glass of the lens! The rubber hood has a part that I can unscrew and use as the top portion of the filter holder but I need a bottom part. Or, would there be any other filters beside the 5,5 that could fit the 90mm Tele-Elmarit-M (maybe 39mm)? Any of you have this lens and same request?

Wanna sell that rubber hood?

90 TE takes 39mm filters like the 35 and 50 'crons. But I also have some weird ring that came with my TE that I don't use - maybe a 5.5 retainer?? I'll have to check when I get home.

Thanks Andy, It seems I already had answered my own question! After I posted it, I tried a 39mm filter on the lens and it worked. I feel a bit stupid not to have tried this before after more than 13 years owning the lens. Must be because I purchased the Tele-Emarit at the same time I bought a CL with the 40mm Summicron. Both could use the 5,5 filters. And Thomas, for the moment I don't think I would sell the rubber hood. Cheers, J.L.
