Not to buy any camera from Broadway Camera

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Canon EOS FAQ forum : One Thread

Dear Members

I would like to inform all the members who are in vancouver, BC area not to buy camera from Broadway Camera, they deal with defective cameras. My sister bought a Rebel 2000 camera from them, on the very first day it had some flash problem. the same story i had from one person in coquitlam who was made fool by sales rep named "henery" in broadway camera. I will suggest Kerisdale camera is a good shop. I have already made a compliant to canon to cancel their dealership and i have hired a lawyer to file a case in smal scale court to get my refund .

Thanks John Brown

So you've decided to spam the forum with your bitching?

a) this isn't the appropriate forum for this sort of thing. It's a camera forum, not a complaints-about-retailers forum. Plus it's international - nobody outside Vancouver is going to care about your experiences here.

Photo.net has a place for this kind of thing, though.

b) Posting the exact same complaint multiple times does nothing but irritate everyone else. Please engage brain first.

please don,t throw J Brown off the forum, I have not had such a laugh since the last re-runs of Monty Python. I wish I was a bit closer to Vancouver to visit this "evil" shop that sells the only faulty mass produced cameras in the World !! On a serious note, in my own experience the following has gained a successful result - call the Manufacturer on your mobile from the shop then hand the phone to the sales person to discuss the problem.
