Has Eversheds learnt arithmetic ? I doubt it.

This has nothing to do with re-po'd properties but I found this item in the Daily Mail, 11/02/02-page 36, and thought it might produce a few wry smiles.

re: Pensions and increasing the retirement age to 67........

'a warning by a senior partner at specialist pension lawyer Eversheds (is there nothing they can't do, we ask our selves?)of a " disaster in the making" as companies move to slash pension costs. Robin Ellison said Eversheds has a team of 50 lawyers "dismantling" final salary schemes on a "wholesale basis"...............

'Eversheds has been investigating the cost of about 800 pension schemes for well-known companies.'

Well, 1. How do they know how many lawyers they've got? 2. How will they arrive at the costs correctly? .... because they can't count! Not if the MIG shortfall figures they throw at people are anything to go by. God help the future pensioners I say.
