A lot has been made of the age of our team. For once I'm actually quite optimistic that we have a team that can challenge at the top for the next 5 years without having to spend too much money.

Might be worth pointing out that, although Speed is playing well at the moment, I'd still sell him if we get a decent offer in. I reckon he's the sort of person we should sell at the end of the season while his market value is still good. I don't want to see another Lee situation where we hold on to him till he's worth nowt. Just look at what Man U do when there players get to that age and they have youngsters coming through - Hughes, Ince, Kanchelskis, Cole etc etc

Oh yeh, forgot about Hughes! he can replace Dabizas. I also think that it wouldn't do any harm in the slightest giving Chopra a run out instead of Ameobi once in a while. Same goes for Offiong. The first thing I thought of when I heard we'd signed Jenas was Chopra. I wonder how he's feeling now one of his U18 team mates has been bought and been put straight in to the first team. I always thought Chopra was the shining light of the U18s and would be the first to make it big time.

Hmmm...doesn't inspire much confidence in me. Solano and Robert won't last 5 years with us, and we're really guessing that Chopra will make the final grade (looks good so far). Offiong is also in with a shout. But that's also only looking at what we have at present. No team makes any progress without continual investment. I suspect major buys for the next NUFC manager will be wingers, a striker and a centre-half.

Diego Gavilan is only 21 I think, he says he would love to come back and play for us after his loan is over.

Maybe Lua Lua could play on the wing, and Bernard could be our future left winger, although he's a different player entirely to Robert.
