As good as his Irish namesake? Robert O' Carlos

As I said in the match reports, I have never seen a goal better, it was absolutely outstanding.

Simply fantastic. A goal to be proud off. ManU, Bolton away and Southamton at the weekend. The lad takes a canny freekick.

LR scored most of his goals for PSG from a dead ball. One of _the_ canny free-kicks of Europe.

It was brilliant ! I had a feeling he was going to score when he lined up for it

We were all saying nah, too far out, he'll never do it from there.....YES!!!

I sit right behind that goal and marvelled the way it bent. I taped it on Mtch of the Day & must have seen it 30 times! In a perfect world, it shouldn't have beaten the goalie, but the pace did it. Another great example of the fact that NOT having a wall would have made it a piece of piss to save, but when the goalie sees it too late the pace has already beaten him.

I said to the guy next to me that Robert would shoot. It was about time. It was also about time he scored. From where I sit, it looked like a straightforward shot which the walls/keeper failed to cover. However, on looking at the replays, it was indeed something special. See, all that early season training on Tynemouth beach with a placcy ball did have some benefits after all ;-)

Looking forward to seeing the tape tonight! Err...if I set the vcr properly that is. Fingers crossed! :-)

Would that be with an orange 'Striker' size 5 ball, Screach? Made a fab plastic 'ping' noise when kicked hard, but anything over a sparrow fart turned it 90 degrees

I was thinking even earlier than that Bobbt. White Frido if I remember correctly.
