Response to Rug

I have one that I bought from an estate sale. It is in great condition but shipping would probably be outrageous. Where are you? Amy

doubt if you will find one cheap,, how about a coon skin,, they are related to bears,,so,, you could call it a "mini" bear rug

Ron, we have lots of bearskins up here we can offer to free. The only problem is that they still have very angry bears attached to them. (sorry, couldn't resist. It's been a long winter up here in the mountains. Tomas in b.c.

Beware Folks,

Federal agents post such ads, then arrest and fine innocent and helpful people. It seems there is a law against everything nowadays, and countless agencies that will enforce them. Two friends of mine have been stung this way; one in Alaska, and one in California. Both were hit with hefty fines, and court appearances. In both cases, a state or federal agent initiated the deal. One sting was over a bear- skin, the other over a head. My friends were definitely not doing something wrong or stupid... like selling bear-parts overseas to be used in "medicines". The agents were "friendly" and appeared to simply want something to decorate their house... then out came the badge. Please be careful! And please pray that such unreasonable laws and tactics go away soon. I hope I don't make you feel like a crimnal; better me than an undercover cop.

To the guy that gave the warning-it's a good warning-I hope my hubby doesn't fall for anything like that. As far as him being a federal agent he's not (he's a truck driver) and has just always wanted a bear skin rug to put in front of the fireplace. I guess he'll just have to try during hunting season. I loved the comment about the angry bears.

Why would it be illegal to sell a bearskin rug, or head for that matter? In many parts of the country it's legal to hunt bear, in season, of course.
