[ot] doing a happy dance!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Current News - Homefront Preparations : One Thread

I just had to share...

I'm doing a happy dance! Join me in cutting the rug for a while.

Went to the doctor today, and well, I'm now in a tennis shoe. He told me not to jump, run, or kick anything. But hey, I'm in a shoe. It doesn't hurt near as bad as I feared.

Now I can do some walking around the property to look at/for the damage due to the ice and snow (and to start planning flower beds).

That's great news! And I don't think David will be too disappointed if you don't run.

In our culture wh have a happy dance. I am honored to do it for you. Blessings, David P.S for the run around the barn shoes are not allowed and clothing is optional. :)

Apoc! Great News! By summer, you'll be ready for those all-day hikes. (;

David, I'm pleased that you're online and able to comment upon chaising women around the barns.

David,

As long as you keep dancing, we'll keep coming up with the reasons. Hope you are feeling well.

I've been doing a dance of sorts today.... it's called mopping. Seems that is one thing hubby won't do (besides, he's been gone for nearly 2 weeks). Kitchen has been mopped 3 times, and the entry way once. The dogs keep tracking in mud which goes directly from their feet to the floor and hardens. I'm not sure how to get it off the tile entry, as it isn't an ordinary tile. The first mopping didn't do squat. Thank goodness it is dark tile, even though the red clay mud shows, it isn't that bad.

I'm going to have to take it easy (like the doctor said), cause I'm feeling that mopping now and I've only been finished 15 minutes. I must have been nuts. I overlooked it for the past couple of months, I have a feeling I should have overlooked it a couple more.

Oh well, no pain no gain.

Thank God clothing is not forbidden.

Apoc,

Will putting down some big mats help? I went to Home Depot and bought a commercial, rubber-backed mat for outside the door (5 feet long) and another 5 footer for inside. It's cut down on my sweeping and washing. Don't know if that will work in your situation.

I have those mats, too. I like em cuz you can just hose em off when vacuuming isn't enough.

[wondering what 'ordinary tile' looks like.]

You'll soon know, Barefoot! (:

I have a huge stack of 2'x2' carpet tiles that have the rubber backing, but if I put them down, I'll have to put them everywhere. I was surprised that these dogs with their huge feet can get those feet in such small spaces. Must of happened when they were playing keep- away with a bone.

The tile isn't smooth, which I consider to be ordinary tile. It is rough and bumpy all over, thus making it harder to clean. I guess it is good that it is dark tile.
