Vivid Light online magazine M6 article

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Leica Photography : One Thread

I saw this article in the online magazine "Vivid Light". Thought some of you might find it interesting. Mostly a re-hash of what we already know, but it's nice to know the word is spreading!

Check it out here.

;-) Cheers,

Thanks for referring it, Jack. I'd never heard of Vivid Light before.

Its a good review and has it's good points, but those who wince at the misuse of the word "its/it's" (as at the beginning of this sentence) will find themselves gnashing their teeth extensively while reading it! I wish some of these online "publications" had old-fashioned "editors."

Oh for some descent editing on the web! Reading the article was a reel pane. You're simple spell check want catch these things, only human ayes. Who knows what the affect will be on future generations? And whose too blame? Does it lay at the feet of TV, the web?

I wasn't all that impressed with the article. Basically, its a soundboard for what Leica camera has been preaching about the M series for decades. I thought the images that he provided were not that impressive as well. The spirit of the M resides in street shooting (just my opinion) and the still life photos are kinda mundane . Some shallow aperture street portraits would've been more representative of the strengths of the M system.
