I would explain the poem stanza by stanza but I have no time. The major overall conclusion of the poem is that he lost his love Lenore, and it is obvious that in life he will never get it, and now, after "talking" with the raven, he discovers that even in afterlife a re-encounter will be impossible and so in view of this his soul will always lie in a shadow, or there will always be a shadow over his soul, something along those lines "And my soul, from out that shadow, that lies floating on the floor, /shall be lifted, -nevermore!"

Email me if you need more help understanding the poem. If posssible, pls ask specific parts, it would be a bit tedious to go stanza by stanza, thx.

please send me info as well on some of the beginning few stanzas. If I can uinderstand what he starts off speaking of and why he is speaking of this, I think this will allow me to further my view into the rest of the poem.

Thanks in advance
