I was just thinking about this yesterday! I like to make giant cookie hearts for valentines day. For adults, I use a whole batch of sugar cookie dough and for a child I use 1/2 a batch. I shape the cookies (by hand) on a greased baking sheet and when they have baked, I slide them onto a foil covered piece of cardboard. Then I decorate with colored frosting, red hots, colored candys, just anything you can think of. They are so much fun! Everyone munches on their own giant cookie for days. I use the sugar cookie recipe in the Betty Crocker cookbook, but any sugar cookie recipe would work. Best wishes!

If you cook the sugar cookies as one large cookie, do you need to adjust the temp. or the cooking times? Thanks.

Ivy, I keep the temperature the same but I keep a close eye on the cookie. When it looks lightly golden, I remove it. If the edges are too thin, they will over brown, so you want to try to get the cookie as thick on the edges as in the middle. Hope this helps!
