Edgar Poe's younger sister, Rosalie Poe, was taken in by the William MacKenzie family of Richmond, Virginia. His older brother William Henry was sent to Baltimore to live with their Grandparents.

Maria Poe Clemm was Edgar's Aunt... the sister of Edgar's father, David Poe, Jr.
