Are there any secondhand camera stores in Boston that have Leica M equipment?

Hello:

The Camera Store, on US 1 in Norwood, just north of Dean St, and south of the trafic circle, north oif the BMW dealer,on the east side, is a Leica dealer and often has used Leica stuff.

Ask for Ray and tell him Richard from Toronto sent you. If he doesn't have what you're looking for, he may well know where. Nice Guy & very helpful.

Also try EP Levine on the waterfront in Boston. They have stocked Leica gear for 20 years & are more pro-oriented than sales or consumer driven. Worth a call!

Try the two little stores on Bromfield Street in Downtown crossing. There are two on the left side (if you're going with traffic) right after Washington street. The first one has a used mint M3, and about 3 lenses, and some filters, etc. Beware - they are expensive and a bit 'sneaky'.

The very next door is another camera place, much better guys, but usually only new leica stuff.

Also try Park Square camera on Arlington (77 arlington, i think) Nice place, but expensive and snobish.

Hmmm. I bought my first Nikon lens at EP Levine back when they were in a tiny office with frosted windows on the 8th floor of an old office block on Tremont(?) Street (the north/northeast corner of the Common, anyway). A used 35 f/2.8. 1974.

(back on topic) The office had an old Mosler safe that came with the place when they rented it — and so they just displayed all the Leica gear in there on red velvet - made it very easy to lock it up at night.

The original E. P. Levine still ran the place then - he looked and sounded exactly like the (late) actor Phil Silvers.
