Recommendations for 2nd hand Leica in New York?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Leica Photography : One Thread

Hello folks, can anyone recommend their favourite 2nd hand Leica dealers to me in New York. I have heard of Tamarkin, anywhere else? Plus the address and contact number if you have it handy. Many thanks,

Craig Williams of Tamarkin, New York .

I second Tamarkin's but Ken Hansen is the good competitor to Craig no doubt. I really do believe that life is good with more than one source.

All though I never bought anything from Ken Hansen I go there every time I'm in N.Y. I would go there to buy Leica gear if I lived closer to N.Y. :0) Scott

I've purchased gear from Tamarkin, Photo Village and Ken Hansen and they're all very good photographic dealers. However, Ken Hansen is easily my favorite photographic dealer! I bought from Tamarkin & Photo Village because they happened to be having Leica Day promos when I was ready to buy some more gear. But, given the choice I'd preferrably buy from Ken Hansen.

Thanks for all your recommendations. Does anyone know if Ken Hansen has a website or email address? TIA!,

Ken Hansen's website is www.phototoys.com.

NYC is full of great 2nd hand dealers. In addition to those listed above, here's some others that I've bought from: Adorama, B&H, Wall Street Camera, Lens & Repro. One word of caution, avoid Cambridge Camera like the plague, they are scam artists.
