Bumbers

Cameltry-expert course scoring: Some players are using serious pointleech at EXPERT course, just gaining points from bumber-bouncing without intention to proceed. This is against Marp policy. (When you bounce bumber several times in small time-gap you get: first bounce: 1x500, second bounce 2x500,...3x500... 5x500,5x500...)

Same thing might apply to SPECIAL course. If you spend time with the very last bumber(just before finish), you can get more points than 1000/second(last level time bonus). I firmly believe that a player should try to finish the game at this point as soon as possible, not spending all the time left bouncing around... It might be a bit difficult to tell when someone is leeching points for a small time though, here we come to a matter of conscience.(or confirming control)

P.S. GB, did my recording playback couple thousand points less than I played? Png-screenshot included in zip shows the score I got, which I playbacked myself too. Funny, but I can afford to give away 2000 points anyday :)

This issue's been gone over a lot, not specifically with Camel Try but with many other games. As long as they finish the game, nothing wrong is being done. I tried doing the bumper leeching at some point and found it wasn't as easy as it looked.

I'm not an editor myself, but I can tell you what they'll say. Bottom line is that it can't be done indefinitely, so it's fair play.

Yukh, I believe the purpose of the game(expert) is to finish it (world8), not to stop at world 6 for bouncing-session...

What do you think, Qrs, Essekappa, Oakster?

That bouncing session can earn oven more than 250 000 points, which asumably can not be achieved by finishing worlds 6,7 and 8.

I checked some scoring, looks like you can't do such leech at special- course. The downfall of this game is scoring anyway: yesterday I got times well over 100seconds for the next world, the problem is that timer starts from 99,9 seconds in the beginning of next world anyway. This means that it's often more profitable take some 1000 points compared to finish a world as quickly as possible.

Very cool game anyway, somehow Marble comes to mind...
