greenspun.com : LUSENET : Aeon Flux : One Thread

If an independant game developer wanted to make an Aeon Flux game.

Who owns the rights to develop/distribute it?

Thanks, -K

I think MTV still owns the IP rights. They could licence it out to anyone interested in actually doing something with it though.

believe it or not, there was an Aeon FLux Video game made. This was a few years back however, back when the series was still origionally airing. like 95 or 96 or something. but before the game was completed, another game came out before it. Tomb Raider. The game company felt like their game was too similar to the new Lara's (both game play wise and visually) so they cancelled it. if you look around hard enough, you can actually still find old screen shots of the game. and i deffinately wouldn't hold your breath or anything waiting for any new AF game release.

but on a lighter note, I'd check out the SPACE CHANNEL 5 games (both 1 and 2) for the PS2 and DC. well, part 2 hasn't been released in America yet (I have the JAP release). The games Main Character Ulala, has that pretty long leg spidery frame that made me fall in love with Aeon Flux. check out the web page (in japanese) http://sc5.u-ga.com/ for some pics and vids. it looks a bit gay and stupid at first. but this is now my most favorite game I have ever played in my entire life. well, let me put it this way. It changed the way I looked at video games the way the Aeon Flux changed the way I looked at television.

As for the game... I have found two. http://www.videogames.com/features/universal/graveyard/sony.html and http://www.elecplay.com/features/unreal/aeonflux.html

of course both are cancelled but interestingly, one was reworked and released as PAX Corps in Europe. Anyon heard of this?
