I always see reference to Leica parts and accesories by letter codes such as BOOWU; AOORT, etc. Is there a complete list of these codes available anywhere? I find this strangely fascinating and would like to learn more "Leica Speak"

Yes, you need a copy of the "Leica Accessory Guide" by Hove Collectors Books. It covers in fantastic detail all the various Leitz accessories from the 1920's to a few years ago together with all the codewords, descriptions and hundreds of illustrations.
