I've come across an old Praktiflex SLR that needs some restoration. Considering that it seems to have been made in the 30s, it's not in bad shape. Before I put any effort into it, I'd like to know if it's a collectable. It's not listed in the Blue Book, so I suspect it's neither collectable or useable (in which case I'll save my efforts).

Hi Al, I am not sure it would be 'collectable' but it could have a novelty value being form East Germany. There is a bit of information at http://www.praktica-collector.de. I doubt it is as old as you suggest.
