Look on the web for VCDgear and use it to extract the MPEG-1 file from the *.dat file(s) in the MPEGAV subdirectory on the VCD. Use something like TMPGenc (www.tmpgenc.net) to demultiplex (demux) the MPEG-1 file into separate audio and video streams. Now you have a MPEG-1 layer II audio file. You will have to use something like Winamp or MVP to convert the MPEG audio to WAV so you can burn it to CD. You may want to find an audio editor of some kind if you need to split the WAV file into different tracks. Good luck.

use the mpegplayer there u have the option to cut to directly to mpg or mp3 files to save as video and audio alone. thus u can have the audio output alone
