Thanks for the link, hopefully he'll get something positive out of the article.

The pictures are so dark on my monitor that I can't really see the images. Is this just my problem? TIA

Bill, all 21 pics on my screen (using Netscape 4.7) aren't dark at all. B/W, but truly nice photos.

Good Stuff, Al! I might add that anytime I need some info, Al is one of those I write to. Always takes time to answer, and never has a churlish reply. A good neighbor on our forum. Cheers, PN

Al,

Thank you for taking the time to post this. This is one of the mosting touching pieces I have read about a photographer. A man who loves his craft -- not his equipment or his ego. Eisenberg has something to say with his pictures and he succeeds. I'd love to see his show if that is possible.

Very nice article Al. Many thanks for the link. And the pictures are really good, of course.

By the way, what model of M camera is he holding?

-- Mani Sitaraman (bindumani@pacific.net.sg), February 04, 2002.

Mani,

It looks like an M4 based on the rewind crank and the style of the frame line preview lever.

Excellent thread! A fitting tribute to a man who's body of work most of us aspire to.

...speaking from the heart.

This is what Leicas are really for.

The camera is an M4, but what lens is he using? Looks like a Summilux; either 50 or 35. I wonder if he'd go to the 75, if he could afford one? (I mean, as his only lens.) Glad to see this post.
