Wenger Interview: " This Southampton result will not be decisive for us. There is a long way to go. ManUTD will drop points - they are the team that are winning easily at home against teams at the bottom, but are struggling more than anyone to win against the big teams. We have struggled at home. United are doing well at the moment but they are not the only important team. It is not only Manchester United, there is Leeds Chelsea and Liverpool."
When do we play those twats? MIRROR: 'Kenny Dalglish is ready for a comeback in harness with coach Ray HArford, and is jostling for the Aston Villa job. A source close to ththe pair confirmed they are "definitely considering" the option.'
Lovely , they deserve each other. Can't see it though.

But not Newcastle. Great. The satisfaction will be much more - er - satisfying. :-{E}

Each time I hear this sort of thing, it lifts my spirits. It's excellent news as far as I'm concerned, and perhaps the reason our record against the top 6 is second to none. Long let them underestimate us.

our record against the top 6 is second to none

I think Barry pointed out in a very recent thread that we are now third in the top 6 all-play-all league. So we're either second to none or we're third.

There's no higher praise than that. :-)

Oh ;-) How did that happen then? 8-P

After last night, I'm all for us being ignored and underestimated. Listening to pundits backpedal is far more entertaining than i'd ever have imagined. :-D

"Man U stretched their lead at the top over Arsenal to three points"

Obviously, by ignoring us, we'll take the huff and go away.

Talk about shrewd.

We might as well forget Europe now. :-{E}

As we're by now used to qualifying for European matches by the back door / cat flap / breaking & entering, perhaps the same is happening for our CL qualification / league win? Victory via the tradesmen's entrance! (go on then, Graham Norton jokes galore...)

Today's (Monday's) Mail has the Leeds Pool report on a page with the banner "Race for the title". The Manure Sunderland game is on it's own page with "Race for the title" above. Newcastle's game is on the same page with Chelsea and is headed, like the pages with the Boro and Villa games as "Premiership special"!

In the Toon report townsend's comments about Elleray are given. "It was a key decision and a poor decision. But then he is entitled to voice his opinions." Not in front of several millions on Saturday night TV he isn't you bliddy dickhead. Elleray should demand an apology - the video evidence shows 9 seconds - Townsend is rapidly shaping up as a possible future manager of Leeds Arsenal or Manure at this rate.

Talking of Europe, I noticed that Sunderland are currently top of the fair play league.
