....Jenas turned ManU down.

Allegedly. Freddy Shepherd is quoted on icDP as saying ManU had put in a strong bid but Jenas preferred a team where he's have a better chance at regular first team football. If Jenas is all people say, I hope we don't disappoint him. ;-)

It was in the Chronic on Saturday that both Leeds and Manure had made late attempts to scupper the deal. Seems a very underhand way of doing business but then it is Leeds and Manure.

Let's hope they live to bitterly regret the failure to sign him...

And they just did it to Boro, too. They don't need scouts, they just monitor the other PL clubs.

The more I hear about this lad, the more I like him: it says a lot that he wasn't star-struck by MU.

Ciara and Jonno

If this is true then it is icing on the whatsit. Typical of those two teams to try and scupper a deal as well.

Have been busy of late so not contributed owt but thrilled by whats been happening. I am always having doubts before games with Spurs, Bolton and now Soton, but we are playng with so much confidence these days, everone seems to be working for each other and despite the great loss of Kid Dyer our mid-field is better than expected. Hope we are not expecting too much from the new lad JJ but I trust Robson's judgement. What a man. So generous to the opposition, and underplaying our present success in a manner befitting the guy.

Had dream went to a game at SJP cant remember the football but met some of youse in what must have been the Strawberry.

Jonno you were a big lad, bearded and jovial.

Ciara you wore a huge Mexican hat and was heavily jewelled.

Screacher another large lad who always (according to the dream) wore his dog's collar.

Softie. Shorter gent from dahn South (this I have from another source as well).

Clarky seemed to be very studentish type with big mop of curly har and was the only one not sporting a Toon shirt and Lynda looked liked Linda Bellingham the actress??

Anyhow all bizarre but appeared I had to buy the drinks as I was new to it all.

Home in UK from Feb17-Mar 11 on leave and courses but hopefully get up to Gods country and perhaps see some of you.

Oh yes youll love this. SOuth China Morning Post sport section.

QUOTE United's win over Sunderland has now doubled their lead at the top of the table UNQUOTE

and I think it was Sky Sports leader QUOTE UNITED WIN ARSENAL ONLY DRAW UNQUOTE

Still I think, like some others, despite the rather childish lurker LR (Hasnt superkev improved with age??) that we would rather be ignored by the pathetic media and go our own way.

I watch ESPN and they show Prem games which is great but have to suffer messrs Tyler and Gray gloryfying the manure. Against Fulham, every Fulham attack was due to inept defending. When Manu got their first crappy goal it was "brilliantly taken by Ryan Giggs". Tyler drools over them giving them their full names Nicky Butt, Vernon Smith Junior, David Beckham and giggles when Keane goes in with his foot up etc. Similarly against Blackburn. I thought both teams very unlucky but they were hardly given a mention. So biased. So now have decided to turn the volume down and listen on my newly downloaded Radio 5 on the Real Player. But lo and behold I Have the message ....it is illegal to broadcast this match on the web blah blah.

What should I tune into could anyone help??

Have gone off on a tangent apols.

Anyway things looking good for us. And my nephews wife won the scorer and the time competition at SJP on Sat and was televised with Wyn Davies, to be shown at a lager date, met Bobby Moncur and had autographs of all the great NUFC number 9's (wonder if Ron Macgarry was on it and Tony Cunningham). So good time had by all!!

Cheers

Very interesting Derek, and your dream was only defficient in one or two minor respects. Ah, but which respects is the question?

The only major error was that you didn't actually buy the drinks - in fact it's your round!

I'm away on holiday from Feb 7-15 - unfortunately through very bad planning I'll miss the S'ton game - so I'm afraid you won't see my curly mop. Next time hopefully - have a great time in t' Toon, but watch out for that Lynda Bellingham lass! ;o{]

IF you are referring to me I can assure you that I look nothing like Linda Bellingham - although I can see that in her hey day she was quite attractive!

I'm absolutely devastated we didn't sign WGB. He turned us down and I'm going to live to bitterly regret the failure to sign him...
