Anyone bought a brand new M6 recently in UK?greenspun.com : LUSENET : Leica Photography : One Thread |
I recently bought an M6TTL (LHSA Special Edition) in the UK from an authorised Leica dealer. I received the following documentation with the camera:1 Instruction Book(let); 1 'Passport' Application; 1 Envelope for return of US Guarantee 1 Terms of Extended Guarantee (US) 1 LHSA Certificate of Authenticity (black card)
There was no Test Certificate (currently being re-issued by Leica), nor was there an invitation to the 'Leica Owners' Course in MK (is it any good?).
If a kindly soul would check meticulously and let me know if I am missing anything else, I'd be most grateful.
Best wishes,
PD

PD.there are lots of counterfit and grey-import M6ttl on the British market at the moment.I heard of a bloke who bought a M6ttl(LHSA)about 2 weeks ago from a reputable dealer that turned out to be from a batch of stolen cameras.

Thank you to everyone for your kind replies.I must say that I was expecting more banal, dare I say straightforward, answers than some I have received outlining grey imports (off line) and potential forgeries and counterfeit models! I suppose I just wanted to know if I was missing any documentation. I am happy that the camera is not a forgery.
Once again, thank you - and happy Sunday to all!
