A bit of light relief.

Which win this season, past or future, not gained by us, would you pick as the 3 points that won us the league on goal difference ?

There's really only one candidate I reckon.

we can't beat Man U on goal difference, has to be Arsenal, have to therefore having the glee of Man U stuffing Arsenal in the middle of April to push them below us

or maybe I don't understand the question ?

Mackems! This chap who sits close to me in the Leazers - he's only there half the time, I suspect he shares a season ticket with this other chap - was so pissed off with Nobby for missing two gilt edge chances in the last five minutes, he called him a fecking Lama shagger.
Can you remember the chances? Arrhhh man!

On goal difference it would have to be Manures defeat by liverpool last week. If Arsenal were to finish second it would be their draw against the makems, this would piss 'em both right off. Or maybe I don't understand the question

I'm thinking this means we've got to stuff some one team(or a few) to make up the huge GD gap between us and manure PLUS get the 3 extra points? I'm not sure I get the question.

With all the upcoming suspensions and injuries at Arse, I'm taking them out of the equation for end of season(esp after we stuff them 15 - 0. Oh...is that what you were asking? ;-))

Maybe I should have done some research into the possibilities of what could happen.

Or that goal difference didn't come into it, the points won us the league.

I was sure there'd be a deafening roar of 'The makems beating manure this weekend', only from the point of view that manure would be well p1ssed off that we pipped them, and the makems would be well p1ssed off that it was they who did it for us.

Logically, it would be the match that made the outcome mathematically certain, but I was just after the match you'd choose as being the one that did it, regardless of logic.

So, another lead balloon bites the dust. :-{E}

Manure 1 - Mackems 2 (1 could do!) = future perfect!

Only two teams have their destiny in their own hands; Newcastle United and Arsenal. If either of them win all their remaining games they will be triumphant.

Key game: Newcastle United v Arsenal
