i had just gotten through watching the movie " the fall of the house of usher" and my impression of roderick usher is that he is a terrible person. he is a selfish person and the reason i say that is because his sister had a disease just like he did and she was dying and her soon-to-be husband came to see her and roderick would not let him. another reason i think that he is selfish is i think that the only reason he had his sister in a casket, besides the point where she wouldnt have to suffer any more, is so that he wouldnt have to watch over her or worry about her any more. it was just for his benefit. he was a very hateful man.
